What you’ll do: As a SAP Software Engineer, you’ll help build and expand a complex predictive analytics platform that is already changing the way large industrial companies manage their assets. Our developers work with leading technologies in the fields of distributed systems, data ingestion and mapping, and machine learning, to name a few. Responsibilities: As a SAP Software Engineer, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Complete installs and upgrades, tuning and troubleshooting of SAP NetWeaver Business Suite Understand replication and ERD SAP design Understand SAP Data movement with moving from the SAP stack to outside sources like HDFS, Kafka, etc Build highly scalable SAP environments within the SAP Stack Interface with other infrastructure teams, such as server and database support, DB2, Oracle and SQL Server Assist infrastructure and database teams in understanding the design of HA/DR, backup/restore and monitoring Use and understand DBA Cockpit and the management studio of the databases, including HANA Studio, Oracle Cloud Control and Management Studio Research and implement solutions for Basis functionality in the areas of performance monitoring and tuning and systems configurations, designs and implementation Understand secondary indexing and use HANA to stack the different perspectives Provide documentation for technical and process related activities. Provide support and maintenance for daily administrative tasks including transports, OSS notes, performance monitoring, root cause analysis and other duties as assigned by supervisor Complete setup, configuration and troubleshooting of complex environments Function as point of contact for production SAP BASIS related issues. Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and optimal performance on all server environments Keep management up to date on any outstanding production related issues Participate in design processes of SLT into Big Data pools, such as HDFS, Kafka Topics and Cassandra Provide training and written documentation for support personnel (which include Help Desk, computer technicians, and trainers), customers and management Adhere to company software licensing policies and practices Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Solid object-oriented programming and design skills Outstanding programming and problem solving skills Strong passion for technology and building great systems Excellent communication skills and ability to work using Agile methodologies. Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Understanding of SQL and noSQL database technologies Understanding of structure and usage of RESTful web services Strong knowledge of integration between SAP to non-SAP landscapes. Significant understanding of the system processes and configurations within and around at least 2 SAP systems is desired Experience with SAP Hana Preferred skills: These are skills that we value but are not required for this role: Experience with Service-oriented (SOA) and Event-driven (EDA) Architectures. Experience in integration architect role for SAP solutions, ability to design overall architecture and process flow for SAP interfaces via RFC connections or file transmissions HANA Certification or SAP Netweaver Certification
